A vision becomes reality

In autumn 2021, Stadthafen Leipzig GmbH was awarded the contract for the further operation and expansion of the site. This was preceded by a Europe-wide tendering process. We will be bigger and even more beautiful and look forward to experiencing the exciting time of the conversion together with our guests. The renovation is scheduled to be completed in 2025. Until then, of course, operations will continue. Tours with our electrically powered motor boats will be offered, as will the rental of canoes and SUPs. No one will have to do without our food and drink with the beach bar and the city beach with the Ahoy beach stage. We have moved only about 30 metres to the side, onto the neighbouring property of the historic Blüthner Villa. Boats are handed out from the opposite bank of the Elstermühlgraben.

What can our guests look forward to in the "city harbour of the future"? After its completion, it will become even more of a centrepiece of the tourist waterway network. The 4,000 m² harbour basin offers berths for three passenger ships, 40 sports and family boats as well as moorings for paddle boats. In addition, there are six further berths for passenger ships on the outer pier. In addition to buildings for the accommodation and rental of boats as well as for port-related services, there will also be a service building for gastronomy, which will also serve as an exclusive event location in this maritime ambience. The aspects of accessibility, sustainability and environmental friendliness also played a central role in the planning.
